About Pets 4 U

About Us
Pets 4 U Now is a select group of small breed puppy lovers. Our goal is to breed the quality of puppy that we want for ourselves and our families. Not a large facility, but the personal home care that creates a well rounded puppy. We strive to keep our pets safe and happy, and feel that each and every one of our mommy's and daddy's get all the love and attention they deserve. When you choose a puppy from us, you are choosing one of "our babies". We ask you to consider this before making a decision on one of our babies. We feel our puppies deserve only the best homes with lots of love & attention.

We raise teacup and toy pomeranian, yorkies, maltese, chihuahua, and schnauzers. We offer great attention to detail in breeding for size, color, coat quality, and breed standard. Our little prince and princess are not rejects or "runts", they are bred to be the tiny, healthy and happy puppy you are looking for. We have invested many years, and tears in order to bring you this quality.
We take great pride in our breeding techniques and daily care programs. This is the special gift we offer with each and every one of our babies!
And we just had to show off the grand-babies too!!

Before you consider one of our babies...
Please Read Carefully
As breeders of extra tiny yorkies, poms and schnauzers we feel that you should consider very carefully before you make a choice on one of our babies. Extra tiny puppies require extra attention. They cannot be left alone for long periods of time. You must think of your new puppy as you would a new baby. They will require as much attention and commitment as a baby, but will not ask for a car when they get 16, so saying that, we would like you to know some things about extra tiny babies. When you receive you new puppy you will receive fact sheets on hypoglocemia and any other issues that we think may arise, please read very carefully, it will save you loads of time and hysteria. We have spent many hours trying to inform and educate new parents on these things, so please read all information we send you. In this brief message we would like to go into detail about nutrition. We know the packages of every dog food says nutritionally complete, but for extra tiny babies it is not. They need some extra things sometimes. Nothing that is hard to find, just a little more effort. Teenies, can only eat about a 1/2 teaspoon full at a time, so when you consider that, how much nutrition do you think they are getting? Not enough to keep them in optimal health. We send a special blend of highly nutritious food for your new baby. It is imperative that they eat this food for a while until the stress period is over and then you may change gradually. We send everything in their puppy pack that you will need for the first few days except just a few things, karo light syrup (to keep their sugar levels up), yogurt (plain) super nutritious and they love it, for times of stress and as a treat and the most important thing of all a warm lap and loving heart. And your reward for all this will be an extra puppy kiss every day and a lifetime of affection that only our tiny little babies will give. You must also be aware that when you get your baby they will be pre-spoiled so if they seem super cuddly that is why. They can only play for short periods of time and then of course you must be ready to cuddle them while they take a little nap and then they will be ready to give you more kisses.

FYI- Things to Consider!!!!
As a new mommy or daddy, there are many things you may need to know before you bring your new baby home. First I would like to say that everyone wants a teacup, micro, mini, or toy breed of puppy. Oh they are the most precious little things to carry around and say "Why, yes he will fit right in my pocket." And there is nothing any more loveable than an ankle high puppy. But with these fashionable little bundles of joy comes responsibility. Lot of responsibility! As breeders of teacup, micro, mini’s whatever you may want to call them, I can tell you there are many things to take into consideration before you adopt a teacup sized puppy. I would like to talk about size and breeder integrity. There may always be a "runt" out of a litter of puppies, but when a breeder chooses to raise and care for teacups and the whole litter is 1.5lb and under at 8 weeks, you can be assured that the breeder is very knowledgeable about the breed and the puppies, otherwise they would not have made it that long. I’ll admit there are some "breeders" who just don’t care like they should, but there are also those who love and cherish their babies. And for those of us who "choose" to raise teacups and it wasn’t just an accident, let me assure you that there are many hours and midnight vet visits that go along with these precious gifts. Yes I said gifts! Oh I could go on about how puppies and dogs for that matter have made such an impact on my life and many other people I know, but I will save you. So before I go on rambling back to the point.
So, You can’t live another minute without that inky dinky little teacup puppy. My gosh, he is the cutest thing you have ever seen! Your first question is why on earth does he cost so much? Well let me answer that for you. That puppy is being well taken care of. He has a mommy that is in excellent condition and a maid "that would be us" that makes sure he has everything he needs. From fresh bedding, potty time, play time, social time, and the most important thing of all safety and nutrition. And you get what you pay for. If someone has a really cheap teacup be very careful. It may be a runt or have something wrong with his health that makes him a teacup. If the whole litter is small you probably don’t have anything to worry about. If teacup sized puppies were easy to raise they would be very inexpensive just like some breeds that are more hardy. I don’t care what anyone says teacups are not just another dog, if that was so they would be a dime a dozen. So when we tell you there are certain things that must be done. Listen, because we know. There is also a lot of extra things that have to be done for mommy and daddy of teacups to have healthy happy babies.
Safety and nutrition are of utmost importance to a teacup sized puppy. When these two needs are met, he will scream to get what else he wants.
(My personal views)
Safety is the first issue and very important. House rules are not to be broken. A teacup sized puppy can get into all kinds of things that can and will hurt him very badly. They can get into more than most little boys can. Everything is an adventure to a new puppy. Puppies are not people (although I wonder sometimes). Puppies are led by smell first, sight and then hearing. So when your puppy sticks his nose to the ground and off he goes, you never know where he may wind up. Puppies do not understand English, so do not be surprised when you tell him not to go behind the sofa because you can’t get him out and he does anyway. You are the adult in this relationship and it is your responsibility to keep him safe. So to keep him from getting trapped or smashed to death or one of his little tiny legs broken, give him HIS own space. Puppies will feel more comfortable in a small area until they learn what the house rules are. Give him his "own bed" in a crate or an area like a den. He will go there when he is tired which I might add will be often, especially when they are young. Right outside his "den" give him an area to play in. Potty trips are also your responsibility. Puppies must potty within minutes after they eat and drink, so be mindful of that when he makes a mistake. Never ever hit, scream, or punish a puppy for mistakes. They are like little newborn babies without the diaper, so there again, you must be the adult. There are many ways of potty training, some are better than others. We will get into that later. Safety is the issue now. Puppies will jump off anything, they must never be left unattended where they can crawl on something and then try to jump off. They will break a leg or worse their neck. Teacups are a vets nightmare. When a bone is so tiny they can’t fix it, what are you going to do then? Patch it up and hope it will heal itself. With that in mind play time with the family must be closely monitored. Children are a whole other side of the coin. Never ever leave your puppy with a child. Puppies are very trusting of humans and children do not know that puppies can get broken. So to avoid a tragedy, just don’t do it. Never leave your puppy with a child alone. No one on the earth loves puppies more than my grandson, but he is never ever allowed to "play" with the puppy alone and he knows it. Children need limits too. Puppies and the great outdoors. There again never ever leave your puppy alone outdoors, you may never see him again. Whew, sounds so complicated doesn’t it. Well it isn’t, just keep an eye on your baby at all times. When you can not be available to watch him, let him rest in his area. Puppies need lots of rest. Play time should be limited to 1 hour or less and then rest time, when he wakes up, then he will be ready to go again. Puppies WILL play until they drop.
